Trial date set for man accused in child porn case

AUSTIN, Minn. – An Austin man accused along with his wife of producing and disseminating child pornography is now scheduled to stand trial in July.

Anthony Edge, 34, had an initial appearance in Mower County District Court Thursday.  During the proceedings, a pre-trial hearing was scheduled for June 27, and a trial date was set for July 7.

Edge is charged with 1st degree criminal sexual conduct involving a minor and 2 counts of using minors in sexual performance /pornographic work.  He has entered not guilty pleas to all charges and is being held on $200,000 bond.

Edge’s wife, Deborah, 36, is facing 4 counts of using minors in sexual performance/pornographic work.  Her initial court appearance will be April 17.

According to investigative court records, authorities tracked an IP address linked to child pornography to the edge’s home in March.  The document states the Edges have a child in the home who appears to be the child in the video.
