KOSSUTH COUNTY, Iowa – One person is dead after an accident involving a car and a motorcycle.
41-year-old David Rochleau from Whittemore was operating a 1998 Harley Davidson motorcycle and was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
The crash happened just before 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon on Highway 9 in Swea City. Troopers say Rochleau’s motorcycle crossed the center line and hit an oncoming car head-on. Rochleau was wearing a helmet, but died at the scene. The other driver was treated and released from a Minnesota hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
