KIMT News 3- It’s a campaign to keep motorists safe in Minnesota and law enforcement believe it’s a good reminder.
Law enforcement agencies across the state are on the lookout for those who are texting behind the wheel, and much more. As of Wednesday, authorities have stopped about 5,000 drivers and issued nearly 300 tickets.
“This campaign is making an impact, it is creating great awareness. No texting and driving, not distracted driving, pay attention.” Sergeant Jaclyn Sticha of the Minnesota State Patrol said.
The campaign runs through the weekend.
