CHARLES CITY, Iowa – Public input can be very important when it comes to big changes in a community.
But one local phone survey underway in Charles City has some upset.
Residents have been reporting phone calls, where they are asked about their thoughts on the new plans for the Charles City Middle School.
But it seems those calls are not coming from the school, or school board but someone else.
And that person is not revealing who they are.
Superintendent Dr. Dan Cox asks that if you have a problem with the plans, to talk to him or the committee.
“Frustrating, its disheartening, its irritating that they resort to tactics like fear mongering to scare people,” said Cox.
Dr. Cox believes the calls have stopped.
He also tells us, a committee with the school will be going door-to-door at the end of April.
They will be doing that to get more opinions about the upcoming middle school project.
