MASON CITY, Iowa – When someone goes missing, police and family members want to get the information out as soon as possible.
And the more eyes trying to find those people, the better.
So the Iowa Department of Public Safety is joining Facebook.
They now have a page called the “Iowa Missing Person Information Clearinghouse”.
It lists whose missing and has answers to frequently asked questions.
Organizers say it’s just another way to get information out to more people.
“I think just sharing it one more additional way to be able to find the missing people faster,” said Medina Rahmanovic, Program Planner with the Department.
More than 200 people are missing in Iowa right now.
