Starting your own business is not easy, neither is handing over the reigns when it’s time to move on.
That’s why business owners from around north Iowa are gathering for some guidance on how to do that.
The Iowa Association of Business and Industry partnered with the The NIACC John Papajohn Entrepreneurial Center to put on the workshop.
Speakers talked to business owners about making sure they’re thinking about their legacy no matter where they are with their business.
“We are thinking ahead and I think that’s what I think we do so well at the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center is not only think about how to start a business but how to expand it and make sure it continues with that legacy,” says Brook Boehmler, Director of the Small Business Development Center.
There were about 40 businesses owners from around north Iowa at the workshop.
