A medical center in north Iowa is trying to make sure their patients play an active role in their healthcare.
To do so the Floyd County Medical Center is introducing their new patient portal.
By simply logging in patients can have secure access to their health information including test results.
It’s something that many hospitals around the country are starting to introduce.
“We’re just really excited to have this for our community and our patients it’s a great way to help you participate in you own health care and be involved,” says Susan Baker with the Floyd County Medical Center.
The medical center is now accepting enrollee’s for the portal.
If you’d like to sign up, bring your e-mail address, photo ID, and let the admission staff know you’d like to participate during your next appointment. If you don’t have an appointment you can just bring the information to the Medical Records Department and they will help set you up with the portal.
