ROCHESTER, Minn. – Allegedly assaulting two Rochester police officers has led to multiple charges against an Idaho man. An officer was conducting a DUI field sobriety test just after 2 am Tuesday in the 200 block of 10th Street SE. Captain John Sherwin says during the test, another man identified as 28 year old Tyler Goodwin of Boise, Idaho walked between the officer and the driver into the backyard of a house. Another officer went to follow Goodwin and that officer reported Goodwin punched him in the face as he approached. Back up was summoned and four to five officers arrived to help arrest Goodwin, who allegedly bit and spit on a second officer while being put in a spit hood. According to Sherwin, the officer who was bit sought medical attention.
