MASON CITY, Iowa – Authorities in north Iowa are releasing more details after a large law enforcement response Thursday afternoon.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office says members of the North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force and Special Operations Group (SOG) served a search warrant on the 1700 block of 4th Street Southwest.
They took two people into custody on different charges. 23-year-old Sara Ramon was arrested on charges of burglary in the third-degree and failure to pay child support.
43-year-old Scott Bailey is facing six felony charges including: Intent to deliver meth, intent to deliver marijuana, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Thursday’s incident grew a large police response with residents saying they saw officers with weapons drawn.
