North Iowa hotel claims embezzlement

MASON CITY, Iowa – A hotel manager has been accused of embezzlement.  Holiday Inn Express of Mason City reported the crime took place from September to December 2013 and a suspect was identified as 55 year old Robert Chester Walker of Mason City, the general manager of the hotel at the time of the alleged embezzlement.  Walker turned himself in to Mason City Police on Friday.  He is charged with 2nd degree theft, fraudulent practices in the 2nd degree and on going criminal conduct.  All are class “D” felonies punishable by up to 5 years in prison and/or $5,000 fines.
