AUSTIN, Minn. – The first female elected sheriff in Minnesota wants another four years in office. Mower County Sheriff Terese Amazi says she’s running for re-election. Amazi has been with the Sheriff’s Department for 26 years, the last 12 in the top job, and she says there’s still work to be done. In particular, Amazi says she is looking forward to the completion of the ARMER radio system that will improve communication with neighboring counties and state agencies. Amazi was re-elected with 67.05% of the vote in 2010.
