OSAGE, Iowa – One local sheriff’s office is hoping to get some grants so they can buy life saving equipment for the community.
The Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office wants to buy automated external defibrillators or AED’s for short.
They would be available for the deputies who are already trained to use them.
Sheriff Greg Beaver says they would be a great assist to their team.
“Often times we can be the first one’s dispatched or arriving on a medical call or we can come across some type of situation that could require an AED,” said Beaver.
Beaver says the AED’s will cost around 1,700 dollars.
They would like to get six total.
