LAKEVILLE, Minn. (AP) — Lakeville police says skeletal remains found in a park are those of a man missing for nearly two years.
Police Captain Kevin Manias said Friday the remains have been identified as those of Christopher Marc Bellino, a 50-year-old Lakeville man.
Bellino was reported missing in the summer of 2012. Police found his remains in a wooded area in Ritter Park Farm Thursday, after high school students came across a human skull.
Police say there is no indication of foul play, but they’re waiting for the Hennepin County medical examiner to determine a cause of death.
The Star Tribune reports Bellino was last seen when he went to dinner with his daughters on July 29th, 2012. His car was found 28 days later in a Target parking lot in Lakeville.
