A great weekend of weather made for some great fishing at the Clear Lake Walleye Classic.
In fact, it was one of the best tournaments in recent memory with 804 walleye reeled in over two days; a fitting way to celebrate the 25th anniversary.
33 teams hauled in more than 15 pounds, and overall the fish caught were about an inch bigger than last year.
Nate Guerdet and Terry Mitchell, a team competing for the first time, won with an eye-popping 28.33 pounds. That’s about 12 more pounds than last year’s winners caught, earning the duo $2,500.
2nd place – Eldon Olson and Scott Aydelotte (21.45)
3rd place – Brian Schmidtke and Brian Crosser (21.43)
4th place – Judson Ollinger and Cole Ollinger (21.41)
