ROCHESTER, Minn.- It’s official, the 2018 Super Bowl will be held in Minneapolis.
NFL owners approved Super Bowl 52 going to Minneapolis after four rounds of voting. Although it’s being held out of our area, there are some local impacts we will be seeing, especially in the Rochester area. “You know, Rochester played a small role in the Super Bowl bid, we’ve been asked for room blocks. We know that they are going to need some hotel rooms. There are several thousand they need,” Executive Director of Rochester Convention and Visitors Bureau Brad Jones said.
Rochester officials say they are always looking to get national sporting events to come to the area.
