Two trials set for Charles City man

CHARLES CITY, Iowa – A Charles City man has pled not guilty to charges connected to a high speed chase and standoff.  21 year old Franklin F. Foster is accused of assault with intent of injury against a peace officer, eluding, going armed with intent, second-degree theft, four counts of control of a firearm as a felon and third-degree criminal mischief.  Foster allegedly fled after Floyd County deputies tried to stop him April 12th and was arrested after a standoff near Waverly in Bremer County.  His trial has now been scheduled for June 19th.  Foster is also facing trial on four counts of trafficking in stolen weapons on July 15th.  Both will take place in Floyd County District Court.
