ROCHESTER, Minn. – Police in Rochester are investigating two separate burglaries.

The first happened sometime between May 10 and May 19 on the 800 block of 5th Avenue Northwest.

A house was temporarily vacant because the 63-year-old man who lived there was in the hospital. There’s no sign of forced entry, and the man noticed 5 un-circulated silver dollars missing. The coins are valued at close to $1,000.

The second burglary happened on May 20 on the 800 block of West Center Street.

A 34-year-old man came home and noticed an open window. His flat screen TV, stereo system, DVD collection, and a metal stand were all missing. Also missing was a locked box that had two air soft pistols inside.

Authorities say an overnight guest of the man is a possible suspect but no charges have been filed in either case.
