ROCHESTER, Minn. – A Rochester man is facing several felony charges after police say he put a gun to a victims head, and pulled the trigger. The charges against Shaun Ladewig include felony assault, burglary and terroristic threats. Police say Ladewig showed up at the victims’ residence demanding money for what police call a drug debt. “There are some indications that a debt was owed and that narcotics may have been involved. Based on my experience, I would say that’s probably highly likely.” Rochester Police Department Captain John Sherwin said.
When the victim was not able to pay, Ladewig put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger, however the gun did not discharge. Police are not sure why the gun did not fire. The following day the victim called police, and Ladewig was taken into custody. After executing a search warrant at the suspects’ home, a hand gun, tear gas and smoke grenades were found. More charges could be filed.
