Tornadoes touch down in north Iowa (with viewer photos)

 

 

UPDATE: The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for southeastern Worth County.  At 2:30 p.m. a confirmed tornado was spotted seven miles east of Manly heading east / northeast.  This warning has been allowed to expire.

UPDATE: The Buffalo Center and Algona tornadoes have dissipated.

Our weather team’s radar still shows tornado activity near Northwood and Albert Lea.

 

KIMT News 3 – We have a confirmed tornado near Buffalo Center, IA touching the ground.

The Algona Fire Department has confirmed another tornado has touched down in Algona, IA.

Our weather team says their radar indicates tornadoes north of Northwood, IA and south of Albert Lea, MN. These tornadoes are heading east.

If you are near any of these areas, take the necessary precautions.
