KIMT News 3 – It’s never too late to think about learning a second language, and one study looks to show why it should be an option.
The study from the Annals of Neurology suggests that learning a second language can help in your cognitive skills as you get older.
More than 200 people were tested in their early adolescents and then again in their seventies.
According to the study, those who spoke a second language had better cognitive abilities later on in life, compared to those who did not.
The study also suggests that the effects were present for people who learned a second language early or later in life.
