Two people arrested following burglary in progress


DODGE COUNTY, Minn. – Two people are in custody in Southern Minnesota after authorities respond to a burglary in progress.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office received the call at a little after 9:00 on Saturday morning. Authorities say the property owner drove into the residence and found a vehicle in the yard.  Two people then ran from the house towards a field and two other people got into the car and left the residence.  The car drove at a high rate of speed towards Olmsted County and responding officers were unable to locate it.

Authorities from several agencies set up a perimeter around the area. Two people were eventually located near Rock Dell in Olmsted County and were taken into custody. The case remains under investigation.
