FREEBORN COUNTY, Minn. – A Blooming Prairie man is in critical condition following a motorcycle crash in Freeborn County Sunday.

The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office says that 42-year-old Albert Winter had to be flown to St. Mary’s Hospital by Mayo One.

It happened at the intersection of county road 20 and county road 25 just north of Albert Lea. A truck traveling north started to make a left hand turn when it was side swiped by a motorcycle driven by Winter.

Officials say alcohol is not known to be a factor and that Winter was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The sheriff’s office is still investigating the crash.
