ORONOCO, Minn. – After a chase through fields, and fences and four stolen cars in two states, a suspect is finally in custody in southern Minnesota. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says 30-year-old Manuel Ramirez was arrested at 6 pm Monday in Goodhue County. He allegedly crashed an SUV earlier that day in Oronoco and then stole a pickup truck. He then allegedly crashed it, stole another SUV and led authorities on a chase through Olmsted, Wabasha and Goodhue counties. Ramirez then allegedly crashed again and stole another pickup which he drove to Wisconsin, where he stole another vehicle before running out of gas and being arrested in Goodhue County. Ramirez is being held in the Wabasha County Jail and is facing charges in Wabasha, Olmsted and Goodhue counties in Minnesota and in Wisconsin.
