ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Governor of Minnesota stopped by our area today.
Governor Mark Dayton, along with other state and local leaders, met Friday morning in front of the Mayo Civic Center to talk about its expansion. Recently lawmakers passed a bonding bill that included more than $30 million for the expansion which could mean more than just money. “700 construction jobs and hundreds of permanent jobs in the hospitality industry and an increased private invest in new and existing hotels, restaurants, and retail buildings,” Rochester Mayor Ardell Brede said.
No official date has been announced for groundbreaking but officials are hoping for soon.
