New air packs for local fire department

KIMT News 3 – A local fire department is in line to get some equipment to help them battle those flames.

The West Concord Fire Department, located in Dodge County will be getting 24 new air packs. The air packs help firefighters get inside burning structures to fight the flames, without them, things could be difficult. “The air packs that we have were built 30 years ago and they are wearing out. They don’t make parts for them anymore. We simply don’t have a way to keep those things operational,” Chief  Bob Klapperich said.

The total price tag will be mroe than $170,000 for everything.
