OSAGE, Iowa – The Osage City Council is throwing its support behind a $5.7 million dollar expansion plan at a local business. The council has agreed to a tax incentive package with A to Z Drying, offering the company an 80% rebate over 10 years. The deal will be part of A to Z’s application for tax credits to the Iowa Economic Development Authority. If state assistance is approved, the project will include a new high-capacity dryer, the construction of a 16,000 square foot packaging and warehouse facility and the creation of 20 new jobs. Construction is scheduled to begin this fall, pending approval of state incentives.
