CHARLES CITY, Iowa – An administrative resignation is taking one county organization by surprise.
Marci Hall-Jacobsen has served as the Floyd County veteran affairs administrator for the last 20 years.
On Monday, during a meeting with the Floyd County VA Commission, Jacobsen officially announced her plans to resign.
It was a tough decision to make, however she tells us it’s something she has been ready do to for a while.
With no one set to take over the position, Jacobsen’s resignation is now considered as open-ended.
She tells us that she promised she would not “desert her veterans” and she would wait it out until they found a qualified replacement.
