ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The monthly check-up on Minnesota’s unemployment rate is ready for release.
State officials planned to report Thursday on the number of jobs gained and lost last month as well as the percentage of people considered searching for work. The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for April was 4.7 percent.
Minnesota has had an unemployment rate that is considerably lower than the national average. But last month, officials reported that the growth rate in new jobs was slightly slower than the nation’s at large.
