ROCHESTER, Minn. – A man has been rescued after an incident on the Zumbro River.
Authorities say the man had been rafting on the river when his raft capsized. He was able to grab onto a bridge pillion. Rochester Fire Department crews told the victim to remain where he was and sent a rescue boat out to help him. After several failed attempts, crews were eventually able to rescue him.
He was evaluated by paramedics on the scene but refused further treatment. Officials are reminding residents to use extreme caution on waterways after the heavy rainfall.
