One injured in motorcycle accident

CLEAR LAKE, Iowa – A north Iowa man is recovering from a motorcycle accident.

It happened on Friday evening near the intersection of South Shore Dr. and 235th Street in Clear Lake.

As of now, the cause of the crash is unknown.

However, according to police reports, 43-year-old Lori Mullins of Ankeny was driving a 2008 Toyota Siena as 67-year-old David Whitecotton of Clear Lake skid off the roadway on his 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Whitecotton sustained minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Mullins was unharmed.

The Mason City Fire Department and the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s office responded to the scene.

Officials with the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s office tell us the incident is still under investigating and so far, no charges have been made.
