SAUK RAPIDS, Minn. (AP) — Authorities say a small plane has crashed into a house in the central Minnesota city of Sauk Rapids, causing a large fire.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was hurt.

Sauk Rapids Police Chief, Perry Beise confirmed a single-engine plane hit the home Friday night.

The homeowner, Jeff Hille, told the St. Cloud Times that his brother-in-law was in the house at the time but got out safe. However, authorities could not yet say what happened to the pilot.

Authorities also do not yet know what caused the crash.

Neighbor, Courtney Breth told WJON-AM that she saw the small, white plane hit the house. She said she saw it come around a larger plane. She said the smaller plane did a turn, then “went straight down.”
