ROCHESTER, Minn.- A federal ruling made Monday could have impacts into the future of some factories.
The Supreme Court ruled that the Environmental Protection Agency lacks authority to force companies to look into reducing their carbon dioxide emissions. President Obama had put together a group that would deal with power plants over these emissions, which some say is causing global warming. “I think in the short term, it’s not going to mean too much. We’ll be getting probably more efficient cars I think, as a result of these rulings,” RCTC Instructor Dr. John Tacinelli said.
Tacinelli also said that in the long run, stricter laws would help future generations enjoy the Earth.
