ROCHESTER, Minn. – A local man is now facing a third degree murder charge in a heroin overdose case.
In late May, Rochester authorities found the body of 39-year-old Nicholas Miner and started investigating it as a drug overdose. Through their investigation, police had reason to believe Demterious Deal sold drugs to Miner that eventually killed him. “Law enforcement has done a good job connecting all the dots between information from people who were with the victim, that he was trying to get drugs,” Olmsted County Attorney Mark Ostrem said.
Deal is expected to be in court in the next few weeks.
