Snap-On tool box donated to NIACC

MASON CITY, Iowa – A piece of equipment that was in a “Captain America” movie has a new home at North Iowa Area Community College.

A Snap-On tool box was donated by the Algona based company to NIACC’S Industrial Division.

It was apart of the feature film “Captain America: The First Avenger” but because of some damaged it sustained in transport, it couldn’t be sold.

The 2,000 pound tool box is worth $25,000.

“It’s a good example of how valuable partnerships are here at NIACC and working with our area manufacturers. This is just one example of a lot of the great partnerships that we have with our industrial division,” says Industrial Division Chair, Josh Byrnes.

The tool box will be on display for a few weeks and will then be used by students.
