MASON CITY, Iowa- Mason City could soon have a new connection to one of the largest cities in America. Monday afternoon the Airport Commission sat down to vote on whether to accept one of the two commercial flight services out of the Mason City Airport.
The board agreed to have Air Choice One fly 24 round trip flights out of Mason City Airport each week to Chicago. Pam Osgood, Manager of the Mason City Airport, says she is excited about the service and hopes the community will be as well.
“We really hope the community will support Air Choice One if DOT allows them to our community,” Osgood said.
She also tells us that the Department of Transportation should have their decision on whether to allow Air Choice One to come to the area within the next few weeks.
