Troopers needed

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Minnesota State Patrol says they are looking for new troopers to join their ranks.

Starting Monday, people can go online and apply to become a trooper, even if they don’t have any law enforcement background. “We actually send them to school, and pay for that schooling to become eligible to be licensed to be peace officers in Minnesota. Then they go through our academy with the traditional students,” Trooper Eric Bormann said. Bormann says they are looking for people who want to serve and help others.
