Crop insurance update

ROCHESTER, Minn. – With all the recent rains we’ve gotten, you may think farmers are struggling. However, some in the Rochester area are doing well.

Chris Sanders with Farmers Union Insurance Agency in Rochester says this year crop insurance has been steady for his farmers. The insurance will help those who plant be protected from situations they can’t control like the weather. Sanders believes this year has been like every other but weather could always change on a dime.”But year after year it seems like the same folks who understand the need and wanna insure their crops they tend to be repeat clients year after year,’ Sanders said.

Other spots in southern Minnesota like Mankato and Owatonna are suffering through inches of unwanted rain.
