ROCHESTER, Minn. – A clock that has called downtown Rochester home for quite a long time could be moving spots.
The Seth Thomas clock could be moving thanks to the construction around the Mayo Civic Center. That center recently got money from state lawmakers to go ahead with their expansion. “It would ideally be put in a tower that would reflect what this originally looked like so that people could see what it looked like rather than let’s say these first two towers,” Rochester Historian John Kruesel said.
Kruesel says officials will be looking at where to put the clock if it needs to be moved. One location he thinks would be good would be down by the YMCA.
