ROCHESTER, Minn. – The cars and people were lined up Friday for a special event in Rochester.
The car show kicked off the first annual Salute to the 4th event. The VFW was also on hand giving out some great food for those who want to celebrate the big holiday. We spoke to organizers who say even though it’s the first year, they have bigger plans next year. “We are looking at doing a 5k color run, a red white and blue them. We are looking at doing a skate park show to get some of the youth involved, some inflatables to keep the kids occupied. Just anything that we can do to bring some vendors and bands down, anything we can do to keep people down here,” Community Organizer Sankesh Prabhakar said.
Shirts were also sold at the event to help raise funds for the fireworks.
