MASON CITY, Iowa – A local exhibit is making its way to our area for the week, and you can only find it at our area airport.
It’s officially rolled into town; the Rise Above Traveling Exhibit is at the North Iowa Air Service. A movie will be shown called “Rise Above” featuring the story of how the Tuskegee Airmen overcame their obstacles in World War II. Tour Manager, Terry Hollis, of the traveling exhibit says he enjoys people’s reaction when they see history coming alive.
“The enjoyment, the thrill people get out of seeing it. We have people from all over the country. 42 weeks out of the year we are on the road with this thing. Out of everywhere we go, you get some people that are really thrilled to have it in their community,” said Hollis.
Hollis says the movie will be shown on a 160 degree panoramic curved movie screen. Admission is free to this event. The exhibit starts July 10th an 11th from 11-7 and July 12th from 9-5.
