ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Rochester Area Foundation is giving out much needed money again.
As part of their weGive365 program, eight different locations around Rochester received $1,000 each for their own projects. That includes places like the Rochester Public Library as well as the Channel One Food Bank. “There’s an opinion that you need to have lots and lots of money to be a philanthropist, but in reality a dollar a day, which is what our fund does, comes together with other people’s dollar a day, and all of a sudden you are able to give away $8,000,” Donor and Grant Services Manager Ann Fahy-Gust said.
