NEW HAMPTON, Iowa – A Cerro Gordo County man is now facing criminal charges in two other Iowa counties.
33-year-old Todd Levern Hambly of Swaledale was already being held in the Van Buren County Jail on two counts of third degree burglary. He now faces two counts of third degree burglary, one count of fourth degree theft, one count of second degree theft and one count of criminal mischief in Chickasaw County. Those charges stem from burglaries at two businesses in Lawler on or about December 25th, 2013.
The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office says DNA collected at the scene of one of the burglaries was identified as belonging to Hambly. After an interview, he was then charged with the Lawler crimes.
