OSAGE, Iowa – The former home of the Crooks family in Osage has finally been torn down.
It was the scene of a murder in 2012, where teenager Noah Crooks shot and killed his mother. Since then, it hasn’t sold, so the decision was made to tear it down. Demolition began Wednesday on the home just off of Highway 9.
A neighbor says she and her husband have been watching the situation closely over the past few days, and seeing the end result today is difficult.
The plan is for the property to be turned into farmland.
