CHARLES CITY, Iowa- A new interactive way to get in touch with your pets is pulling into the Floyd County Fair.
Animal Connections is an interactive way to help show people different ways to understand animals, or even your pets. And it’s all housed inside a semi-truck.
The Smithsonian Institution, Zoetis, the AVMA and the AVMF are sponsors of the exhibit.
Kathy Cook, one of the volunteers, says this is a learning experience for everyone.
“I think one fun factoid is that 63% of families call their pets family members,” says Cook. “So, this is a take-home message for everyone because we all consider our pets to be family.”
Animal Connections will be at the Floyd County Fair until Saturday. It then takes off for Denver, Colorado and will makes its way back to Iowa in August.
