MASON CITY, Iowa – A Mason City man facing multiple charges after a dispute with his ex-girlfriend is being sought by authorities.

30-year-old Bryan Paul Servantez was charged with 3rd degree kidnapping, 2nd degree attempted burglary and domestic abuse assault after what law enforcement says was an early morning dispute between Servantez and his ex-girlfriend on May 2.  A trial had been scheduled for late July, but then Servantez entered a written plea of guilty. Court documents do not indicate what Servantez was pleading guilty to or what agreement had been reached with prosecutors. Pending sentencing, he was released from custody under the supervision of the Iowa Department of Correctional Services.

On July 9, a warrant was issued for Servantez’ arrest for violating the conditions of his release.  The Cerro Gordo County Jail says Servantez is not in custody and the warrant remains in effect.
