CHARLES CITY, Iowa – It’s been a topic of high interest in one north Iowa community, and Monday night, plans for a single-campus school in Charles City moved right along.
The school board approved a design plan. The board was given nine different options and narrowed it down to four before choosing just one that they now want to see more sketches of.
Dr. Dan Cox, the Charles City School District Superintendent, says the design option chosen will give the school the “21st century learning environment” the school board has been hoping for.
“It creates a better parking space for both the school and our athletics complex, just to the south of the school. It also is set back from the street a little bit more and gives a nice curb appeal as you pull up to it,” explains Dr. Cox.
The school board will be presented with the new sketches on August 11th.
