ROCHESTER, Minn. – Some medical professionals from around the country are calling Rochester home this week.
Those with the Association of Medical Illustrators and the BioCommunications Association are holding their annual meetings in the med-city this week. There is a lot to do on their agenda, including judging some medical artwork shown in a local hotel. Overall, this week is a time to connect as professionals and keep the industry strong. “The images tell a story. When scientists are discovering new molecules or new drugs and bringing them to the industry, or when they are trying to teach patients about a condition that they [have], the images are really what helps patients connect and understand more about their body,” President of the Association of Medical Illustrators Tonya Hines said.
