ROCHESTER, Minn. – New research is suggesting that a southern Minnesota city is one of the happiest in the country.
The U.S. National Bureau of economic research is ranking Rochester the 6th happiest city in America. There were a number of factors that went into the ranking including overall life satisfaction. City leaders say they are excited about the ranking. “I think there are different lists for different things that are appealing about cities, but obviously having one of the happiest cities certainly has a lot of positives to it,” City Council Member Ed Hruska said.
Lafayette, Louisiana came in as the happiest city while New York City came in as the unhappiest.
