Guilty pleas to reduced charges in shooting

ALGONA, Iowa – A north Iowa man has pled guilty to reduced charges in connection to a 2013 shooting.

26-year-old Andrew Zeitler pled guilty in Kossuth County Court to intimidation with a dangerous weapon, willful injury and going armed with intent.  He was accused of shooting Dustin Kiefer of Wesley during a fight on July 21, 2013.  Zeitler was arrested in Corwith after a brief manhunt.

Zeitler had originally been charged with attempted murder but agreed to plead guilty to these three lesser felonies.  His sentencing has been set for September 8th.
