Man thrown to the ground suffers head injury

ROCHESTER, Minn. – A local man could face charges after a possible assault Wednesday night.

Rochester Police say, the victim and other people in an apartment building near Highway 52 had some kind of altercation Wednesday before the victim came back later that night. When he did, the male started banging on doors. That’s when the suspect, 32-year-old Derek Sandland came out and grabbed the victim and tossed him to the ground, police said. The victim suffered some kind of head injury and was covered in blood on the back of his head.

Charges are pending in the case.
